Removing a PostgreSQL database

Before removing a database, make sure you have kept a backup copy of the database that you are removing, a database removal process is is not possible to recover. Please take note that the database removal process does not remove the database user that has been granted access to the database, it only clean up the access permission of this user to the database, the database user is still active and able to connect to other databases that has been granted access.

To delete a database:

  1. Click PostgreSQL databases in your Cpanel hosting account control panel.

  2. Click Delete beside the database name you want to remove from the server.
