Removing a MYSQL user access permissions from a database

When a MySQL user is no longer allowed to connect to a particular database (the mysql user is still needed for other MySQL database connections) , you can remove access permission of this particular MySQL user from the target MySQL database that you no longer allow access for this user. Please take note that removing user access permission is different from removing mysql user account, removing user access permission only revoke access permission of this user from a MySQL database and the mysql user is still active for connecting to other databases that has been granted access, whereas removing a mysql user remove the MySQL user completely from the MySQL hosting server.

To remove a MySQL user permissions from a database:

  1. Click MySQL databases on your domain hosting account control panel.

  2. Click Delete beside the MySQL user name below the target MYSQL database in the Databases area.
