Parked Domain
  1. What is parked domains ?
Parked domains are basically an alias domain name to your master domain, it will be pointing to the same webpages as your master domain is pointing to.

    For example:-
masterdomain.com/index.htm and parkeddomain.com/index.htm is pointing to the same webpage "index.htm"

  2. Do you support parked domain ?
Yes, parked domain is supported in all hosting plans.

  3. How do I setup parked domain ?
First, set the nameserver for the domain you wish to park to :-

    primary nameserver : ns.dotservant.com
    secondary nameserver : ns2.dotservant.com

When the domain has resolved to our server (generally takes about 24-48 hours for the ISPs to completely pickup the change), you can then login to your hosting account control panel and choose "parked domains" option to park the domain onto your master domain.

  4. Can I park a domain onto an add-on domain ?
Not from the hosting account control panel, however we can do it for you, just open a ticket with the details and we will get it done for you. This is of course not on a large scale (i.e. parking many domains on many add-on domains), situation like parking domain1.net, domain1.org to domain1.com is acceptable.

  5. I tried to park a domain through the "parked domains" option in the hosting account control panel, but it does not allow me to, what is wrong ?
Most likely you have not yet change the nameserver record for the domain you wish to park to us, or you have just change it and the ISPs have not yet picked up the change. If you have not yet change the nameserver record, please change it to point to :-

    primary nameserver : ns.dotservant.com
    secondary nameserver : ns2.dotservant.com

and wait for 24-48 hours before trying to park it again.

  6. I have already parked the domain, but it does not seem functioning, what is wrong ?
If you have just setup the parked domain, allow about an hour or two for it to propagate to the master DNS server, once the change is captured, the parked domain will be functioning as it should.

  7. Can I setup email account for parked domains ?
Yes, it is exactly the same way you setup an email account for your master domain, just be sure to pick the desired parked domain in the email setup screen when setting up email accounts for parked domain.

Multiple Domain (addon domain or pointed domain)

  2. Do you support multple domain hosting ?

  3. How do I setup an addon/pointed domain in my hosting account ?
First, make sure nameserver record for your pointed/addon domain is set pointing to :-

    primary nameserver : ns.dotservant.com
    secondary nameserver : ns2.dotservant.com

After the domain has resolved to the hosting server (generally takes about 24-48 hours for ISPs to completely pick up the change), you can then login to your hosting account control panel and choose "addon domains" option to setup the domain.

  4. I have setup a pointed/addon domain, where should I upload the files for this domain ?
After you have setup the addon/pointed domain, there will be a sub-folder created in your "public_html" folder (i.e. "/home/username/public_html/addon_domain_foldername"), you will have to upload your files for this pointed/addon domain to the subfolder created.

  5. How do I setup email accounts for addon/pointed domain ?
The process is exactly the same as you setup email account for your master domain, just make sure you select the correct domain name in the email setup screen when setting up email accounts for pointed/addon domains.
